year Brisbane Marketing is a key partner in Brisbane City Council's Economic
Development Plan and 2026 Vision for the city.
John Aitken, Chief Executive Officer of Brisbane Marketing, will outline the
journey of the city's new overarching citywide brand strategy
"Brisbane, Australia's New World City" developed after extensive consultation
with industry, government, academia and residents. This brand is centred on
attracting investment, influencing the flow of talent and luring business and
leisure visitors through tourism, major events, CBD retail, business events
and education.
John Aitken will also explain how Brisbane Marketing is developing an
international strategy to reflect Brisbane's status as an emerging global
city which is proving its prowess on the national and international stage
as a centre of innovation and enterprise, art and culture.
