Brisbane West Senior Citizens' Centre is a non-profit, community-run centre running activities and services for community members 50Plus
|
The centre has been a hub and hive of activity for the local community
for 40 years ! The Latrobe Terrace centre opened in 1972 with the
assistance of government funding, club fundraising and the support of
local churches and service clubs. Community support to continue on
serving our local people and area for many more years is encouraged.

* EUCHRE Monday 9.45AM to 1PM
* BINGO Tuesdays & some Thursdays 10.30AM to 12Noon
* INDOOR BOWLS Wednesday 10AM to 1.30PM
* Wii Fun Entertainment !! Surprise Prizes
* CONCERTS
* BUS TRIPS
Guests are invited and very welcome to join in all the Centre activities
Enjoy fun times and activities at minimal costs .. Please call to Book In.
Brisbane West Senior Citizens Centre welcomes hearing from people
wishing to SPEAK, ENTERTAIN or run ACTIVITIES for Members/Guests.
BWSCC will consider other activities if sufficient interest is generated.
Communify Day Respite Centre services operate beneath the BWSCC Hall.
Membership* is accepted from people 50 Plus. Some members have been
in the club since inception, and are now in their eighties and nineties and
still keeping active. Many are in their seventies or younger, and we look
forward to more people - particularly the young at heart - joining activities
and helping with the running of our club, and thus enabling the club to
continue for many years.
For many, just having somewhere to go, and friendship of other members
is very important to them, and they look forward to their club visits.
Brisbane West Senior Citizens' Centre has a SMALL BUS to pickup from
and return Members to their homes for larger activities.
If our activities sound of interest we'd warmly welcome you along to join
in with our fun group. If you know of people looking for things to do,
people to meet .. please pass the BWSCC word along.
VENUE HIRE
The centre is an ideal place for social, business and community events.
The large hall boasts a Stage, installed Audo-visual, a large Kitchen
and flooring suitable for dancing. A small meeting room is also available
for hire when the spaces are not hosting Member functions and activities.
Please call in to view the hall for your function .. best to phone first.
The team and Members may be away on a fun bus trip or !!
Venue hire income enables the association to pay for utilities, make
minor repairs to the centre and subsidise club activities.
The BWSCC is managed by a volunteer management Committee ...
