Milton-Rosalie businesses and area now need this excellent service commitment.
Re-building after our 'Floods' was dealt a very heavy blow with losing our PO!!!
We are all hopping mad with our major business centre being abandoned
causing Milton to lose businesses, trade and inflicting much pressure on our
businesses and area so impacted by the January Floods.
Milton Post Office was an integral factor in many businesses choosing Milton as a business site .. our Milton area has been majorly impacted by Post Office closure.

MILTON POST OFFICE CLOSURE has also heavily impacted on other
Western suburbs .. Paddington, Toowong and Red Hill.
Milton PO BOX holders are now forced to drive all the way to Kelvin Grove
into the Bishop Street industrial estate (unsafe after hours) to just collect mail.
Any Mail OUT, bill paying, etc must then be sent from Paddington or Toowong.
OR open a box at Paddington or Toowong with parking issues and long queues
adding to these PO's own customers.
Much time is lost every day by thousands of local area businesses for just MAIL !
All this adds to traffic congestion on our local roads. People who could catch
trains or buses to work at Milton, now need to drive in just to collect mail. |

The Milton Business Centre Post Office was an important factor in us choosing our location in Park Road. We rely on the Postal services for a wide range of services. Using a Post Office that is not in the area disadvantages our business and the way we operate.

We own Cold Rock Ice Creamery in Rosalie Village, one of the many businesses inundated in the January 2011 floods.
After 12½ long weeks we have just reopened 9/4 and find that our local Post Office in Milton, which was similarly inundated,
is not going to re-open at all. We used the Post Office regularly and now find we have to drive to Kelvin Grove or Toowong
or attempt to park then wait in long queues in the Paddington Post Office which struggles to accommodate large parcels.
This is quite stressful. We keenly support the return of the Milton Post Office (somewhere in the Milton area).
Businesses have been through so much in our area - they don't want to have to spend time driving to other Post Offices
when they could be working IN their business.
